It took three decades, but Steve Stanfield finally took his friend’s
and family’s advice and bottle his famous seasoning.
Now sitting on the shelves in the Oklahoma Metro Area is Stanfield’s Secret Seasonings.
Although the product only arrived in the store about
two weeks ago, it has topped the Christmas list of Stanfield’s loved ones for almost 30 years.
“Along the way we were just giving too much of
this stuff away.” said Stanfield, who has not tired of the taste in all these years.
The chef said he uses the seasoning for everything from shrimp scampi to
rim his margarita glass.
Stanfield, who owns a Luther, Oklahoma catering business with his wife.
Pam, said friends ordered the seasoning by the jar, all while telling him how the concoction needed
to go beyond his kitchen.
Stanfield refused to charge his friends and family, but their free advice
never left his mind.
“I took it as a compliment” ……
